odour control

Is it time to get in control of that smell?

As summer begins to warm up, so those pesky odour issues start to rear their ugly heads. It’s always important to get on top of odours before they take over your grow project. Fortunately, there are lots you can do to minimise and maintain control over plant odour. In this article, we will take you through a few ways you can look to take control of any unwanted smells coming from your grow project.

Use a Carbon Filter

Carbon filters are a key part of any grow project. Including a carbon filter within your air extraction system will ensure all the air from inside your room or tent is thoroughly filtered, or ‘scrubbed’ and all odour will be removed. This is then an ongoing process so you know that any air removed will be clean of any unwanted odour and you wont have an issue of odour build up.

Use external air when cooling

During the summer months, your lighting system can get warm so it’s vital that you have controls in place to cool the system. By making the cooled air comes from outside your grow system, you are ensuring that it does not already hold any unwanted aroma. As you can imagine, if you start pumping odour-filled air across lights to cool them down, those smells are only going to get worse! Combining this with a carbon filter for air going out, you will be constantly removing bad odours and providing fresh air to assist in cooling down your project.

Sprays, liquids, mists and gels

At Avagrow we stock a wide range of odour-control fluids and gases which can help you control and eliminate unwanted odours from inside your grow room or tent. Whether it’s gels which will absorb odour or mists domes which will regularly release fragrance and odour-neutralising agents into the atmosphere, we have the right solution to suit your grow project and budget.

So don’t let those unwanted odours get on top of you this summer, fight back with some of the solutions above and you will be in control of your grow project, regardless of the odour challenge!
